Build a Long, Unpredictable Password

Choose the length and character mix, then generate passwords locally. Nothing is transmitted, logged or saved.

Strength—Entropy—

About this tool

Length beats clever substitutions. A long password drawn from a large character pool is far harder to guess than a short one with a few letters swapped for symbols.

Set the rules you need, generate, and copy the result into your password manager. The random values are produced on your device by the browser cryptographic API.

  • Adjustable length and character groups
  • Option to skip confusing look-alikes such as 0 and O
  • Strength hint for each generated result

Frequently asked questions

Where is the password created?
Inside this page, using the browser random number generator. There is no network request carrying the result.
How long is long enough?
Sixteen or more characters with a mixed set is a sensible default for important accounts; password managers make longer values painless.
Are symbols always better?
Symbols widen the pool, but length matters more. Some sites reject symbols, so a longer letters-and-digits password is a fine fallback.
