About this tool
Memory dumps speak hex, hardware speaks binary, and people speak decimal. Switching between them is a daily chore in programming and electronics work.
Enter a value in whichever base you have and the remaining fields fill in immediately. Long values are handled without floating-point rounding.
- Binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal fields
- Any base from 2 to 36
- Large integers kept exact
Frequently asked questions
Which bases can I enter?
Anything from 2 to 36. The four common bases have dedicated inputs, and the general field accepts the rest.
Are very long numbers rounded?
No. Conversion uses arbitrary-precision integer handling, so every digit is preserved.
How do I handle a negative value?
Convert the magnitude and keep the sign outside the field, then apply it on the result if your context requires it.
